The Fantasy 979 has an automatic 1 step buttonhole and 37 of the most popular utility, stretch and decorative stitches as well as the usual refinements you would expect from a Frister+Rossmann Fantasy. A whisper quiet full rotary shuttle gives a perfect stitch every time and adjustable presser foot pressure helps feed various weights of fabric with ease.
      
The strong DC motor gives extra needle power when you need it most and you can relax with the knowledge that your maximum sewing speed is set using the built in speed limiter.
      
Threading a Fantasy is simple. The automatically adjusting tension units compensates for the majority of thread and fabric combinations and the convenient automatic built in needle threader draws the thread through the eye.
      
Never run out of bobbin thread again. The see through bobbin cover allows you to monitor the bobbin and to convert the Fantasy from flat bed to free arm sewing is easy. Simply removing the accessory storage box allows you to sew sleeves, trouser legs, etc, effortlessly.
      
Although packed with convenient labour saving features, the Fantasy machines are extremely portable weighing just 7.3 kg's or 8.3 kg's including the solid hard cover.
