Dave started his training in sewing machine repairs in 1983. After moving to Canada he secured a position with a Singer Sewing Machine dealership where he had the opportunity to be trained in all models of Singer Sewing Machines. After some years he progressed to a multi dealership where he expanded his knowlege of the sewing machine trade by attending workshops with Pfaff, Janome and Singer .
On returning to North Yorkshire in 1991 Dave's Sewing Machines was established to serve the sewing needs of people in the York and Harrogate area.
Since starting the business, Dave has expanded into selling new sewing machines and set up agents in Northallerton, Thirsk and Settle to help serve the people of North Yorkshire.
